Meanwhile, Interest Rate futures show traders expect a 0.25% point rate cuts at the Fed's next two monetary policy meetings on October 31 and December 11.

The NASDAQ fell 18.17 points, or 0.91%, closing at 1,989.34. And, the S&P 500 was off 1.02%, closing at 1,171.71.The benchmark 10-year treasury bond closed up 0.08% at 4.61% yield.
