Global tourism groups to meet in Taiwan

Stock Investing Course The conference is being co-organized by the Taiwan Hospitality and Tourism College, the hospitality management and education section of National Taiwan Normal University's Department of Human Development and Family Studies, National Taipei College of Nursing's Graduate Institute of Tourism and Health Science, and Chinese Culture University's Graduate Institute of Tourism Industry.

Stock Market Game The event will bring together more than 300 academics and experts in hospitality and tourism from Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, France, Belgium and China, the organizers said.

The U.S. economy may be in a funk, but that's nothing compared with the pall hanging over Wall Street. Some of the biggest U.S. investors said on Tuesday they expected the nation's economy to get worse, but then work its way toward recovery later this year. On Wall Street, however, the road back to health will take much longer. "It is the Great Depression on Wall Street. It sure isn't on Main Street, " Ken Griffin, chief executive of hedge fund Citadel Investment Group, said during a panel at the Milken Institute Global Conference in Beverly Hills, California.
