Porters and taxi drivers should be tipped US$.50 to US$1 per bag or short trip. If you've hired a cab for a tour, a 10- to 15-percent gratuity is appropriate. There's a departure tax of US$20.

International and foreign driver's licenses are valid on the island. Motorists drive on the right side of the road. Motorbikes are available on the French side from Rent a Scoot (011-590-87-20-59) and Eugene Moto Scooter Rental (011-590-87-13-97) at Le Pirate Hotel on the west end of Marigot.
Stock Market Chart Airlines: International flights arrive at the Princess Juliana International Airport on the Dutch side. Espirance Airport on the French side only handles small planes from nearby islands. Other major airlines that serve the island include ALM (800-327-7230) and LIAT (800-468-0482).
