CustomWeather Launches New XML Query-Based Toolkit for Instant Weather Integration

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 18, 2004--CustomWeather is proud to announce the launch of a new weather toolkit that allows for the instant creation of a weather section based on its proprietary XML query system through a http interface. The toolkit can also be used to retrieve weather content for any software application that runs Java. The new toolkit is a hands-off solution based on the MyForecast suite of products and can retrieve weather content in 9 languages including English, Spanish, Italian, French, Dutch, German, Portuguese, Chinese, and Swedish. Detailed local weather content is available for all portions of the world. CustomWeather clients can now instantly achieve the same look and feel as MyForecast.com pages, or easily modify HTML pages to correspond with their own look and feel.
Unlike other weather toolkits that may require a database or knowledge of programming, CustomWeather's new toolkit is targeted at graphic designers who may have limited programming experience. The new toolkit does not require use of a database since all weather content is queried through a http interface in real-time. The only requirement for the weather toolkit is the installation of either Java 1.3 or Java 1.4 on a computer connected to the internet. The toolkit is already being utilized by some of the world's largest companies to create a weather section with their own look and feel.
