Wenis expected to also look at ordering civilian helicoptors and aerospace equipment for China's space program later today. A Chinese order for 150 Airbus planes could be worth $9 billion to the French airplane manufacturer, which would put Airbus ahead of Boeing this year. China had already bought 70 airplanes from Boeing earlier, though the Asian nation is prone to diversify its resources. A Chinese order of that magnitude could include some assembly work of the Airbus planes in China, a strong consideration forWen and his trade representatives.

planes, sweetening the deal for the U.S. airplane manufacturer.

Stock Investing For Dummy Geoff Dixon, Qantas chief executive, said price was big factor
in ordering the Boeing 787sinstead of the A350
offered by Airbus.
Stock Market Crash Another factor was the mostly composite airframe on the 787,
Dixon said. Boeing's dreamliner 787 is the first jumbo jet built
with what Dixon called "breakthrough technology", making it a
lighter and more economical airplane than the Airbus A350.
Stock Investing Tip Boeing's ability to guarantee delivery in 2008 cinched the deal
for Dixon. Boeing said it had anticipated Qantas order so it
reserved some "delivery slots" for the Australian airline.
