Roscoe's and Kum & Go busted in underage drinking sting

Stock Investing Course According to Inspector Bill Nixon, the Decorah police officer who headed up the sting, an unidentified 19-year-old female entered both locations and purchased alcohol. The officers then entered the two establishments to inform them of the illegal sale. The statements taken by officers and records of the sales were then forwarded to the Iowa Department of Commerce, who will then enforce sanctions on the businesses. Sanctions could include a written warning, a $1500 fine, and if repeated the loss of their liquor licenses.

Being the only bar near the college Roscoe's has kind of a monopoly for Luther students. On any given weekend Roscoe's is filled with Luther students. Since 19-year-olds can enter the bar, once in it is not difficult to find a 21-year-old to buy them a drink.
