Online Stock Market Trading By Mike Klein • 09/08/03 Hartland, WI- Frost & Sullivan has announced that Camtronics Medical Systems Ltd., a subsidiary of Analogic Corporation as the recipient of both the 2003 Product Quality Leadership Award in the cardiovascular image and information management market and the 2003 Market Penetration Leadership Award for its marketing, sales, and product innovation strategies.

Outstanding achievements in these areas have helped Camtronics register the largest market share of any single player over the past two to three years in the cardiac catheterization end user segment.

According to Camtronics President, Gene Bergholz, "We are indeed honored by these awards that highlight our long-term commitment to the cardiovascular information system market. Healthcare providers continue to recognize our technology as best-of-breed in integrating the complete digital patient record in both in-patient and out-patient environments."

Frost & Sullivan is a market consulting organization that focuses on emerging high technology and industrial markets. Camtronics achieved the distinction of the firms Product Quality Leadership Award in the PACS Cardiology Workstation segment.

Superior product quality control is the primary criterion for selecting this award recipient. Frost & Sullivan closely monitors the products and R&D projects of all market participants, and considers numerous other criteria such as lowest defect percentage per batch of units produced and the product's ability to fulfill customer needs, as part of the selection process.

Their analysts determine the winner of Market Penetration Award by tracking market share gains, increases in sales, and brand awareness efforts within the industry through extensive secondary research and interviews with market participants on competitive pricing and sales force strategies, as well as strategic alliances that expand customer base, among others.

Hartland, Wisconsin based Camtronics Medical Systems Ltd., was founded in 1986, to develop cardiovascular image and information management technology. Its cardiovascular information systems provide single point access to the complete cardiovascular patient record, including both inpatient and outpatient data. Camtronics' role in the cardiac catheterization end-user segment began during the early stages of cardiology Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (PACS) adoption. It was the first company to develop digital network technology aimed at the cath lab, introducing its ARCHIUM Digital Cardiac Network in 1993.

"The company's in-depth knowledge of the technical aspects of cath lab images and work flow processes enabled it to achieve a dominant market penetration position very early in the development of the market," observes Frost & Sullivan research analyst Antonio Garcia. "Today, it still has a penetration rate of nearly half of all cath lab networks currently in operation, despite competition from recent entrants with new products and growing market share."

Frost & Sullivan Awards are presented to companies that demonstrate excellence in their industry, commending the diligence, commitment, and innovative business strategies required to advance in the global marketplace. Frost & Sullivan rigorously analyzes specific criteria to determine award recipients in a vast variety of market industries and landscapes.
