ValueClick Completes Sale of Its Share of ValueClick Japan
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 29,
2004--ValueClick, Inc. (Nasdaq:VCLK), the single-source provider of
digital
marketing media, technology and
services across all major online marketing channels, today
announced that it has completed the sale of its equity position
in ValueClick Japan, Inc. to livedoor Co., Ltd., a Japanese
Internet and technology product and services company, for
approximately $24 million in cash. ValueClick's agreement with
livedoor was part of livedoor's tender offer to acquire all of
the outstanding shares of ValueClick Japan, as described in the
Company's February 20, 2004 press release announcing the
agreement.
ValueClick will update its full year 2004
financial guidance in its first
quarter 2004 financial results press release. In a separate
press release today, ValueClick announced that it will publish
its first quarter 2004 financial results on April 27, 2004.

Management also noted higher material costs. Earlier, Cardinal said net earnings fell to $249.1 million, or 69 cents per share, in the first quarter, ended Sept. 30, from $301.8 million, or 82 cents per share, a year earlier.
