French buyout firm Axa Private Equity has raised its fourth buyout vehicle with a corpus of €1.6 billion ($2.5 billion), which helps its portfolio companies expand into China and India. The latest fund takes Axa's assets under management to $22 billion (€14.2 billion) at the end of 2007. A 95 percent of the previous investors have chipped in with their investments into the current fund. Axa, which has teams in Paris, Frankfurt and Milan, said it aims to develop its portfolio ..
