Internationally, India continues to show steady year on year growth, with a 7% increase in the number of flights into and out of India (an additional 835 flights and more than 200, 000 seats a month). The number of flights has virtually doubled from 6, 800 in May 2001 to 13, 200 in May 2007.

The number of broadband subscribers around the world will more than double by the end of 2010, according to a market research firm.
Journal Prime Rate Street Wall Datacomm's report shows that wireless market growth in India hinges on increasing tele-density above its current 1.7% level in the rural areas that represent 70% of the population.
